Re-Pack Three Roller Indexing Labeling System

Designed to orient the product and apply a wrap around label registered to this orientation point

The Re-Pack Three-Roller Wrap System is designed to orient the product and apply a wrap around label registered to this orientation point.  The product will be placed or transferred onto the system’s conveyor and spaced by an infeed gating system.  Once spaced, the products will travel to the label application area.  A sensor will detect the product, causing the back mounted rear rollers to extend, trapping the product between the two rear rollers and the front application roller.  This will form a three-roller wrap application.  While the product is rotating, an inspection camera will detect the desired location in the product and trigger the label applicator to dispense a label.  Once the label has been applied the rear roller will retract allowing the product to exit.

Re-Pack Top & Bottom Labeling System With Conveyors

Automatic Labeling System

Some labeling applications, such as the food industry, require the product to be transported on a belted conveyor and labeled on both the top and bottom panels. Top panel labels are quite often graphically appealing and for the purpose of product marketing or shelf display. Bottom panel labels are usually for the listing of nutritional ingredients or other required industry information.

In such applications two conveyors placed end to end, with a very small gap between the ends, are employed. The product is transported to the first conveyor where a labeling head is mounted over the top of the product path. Once the top label has been applied to the passing product, the bottom label can be fed by a labeler below the conveyors up through the small gap between the ends of the conveyors. As the container transitions from the first conveyor to the second (across the small open gap) it picks up the label being fed from below and the bottom label is applied. In this way two labels are applied without the need for a second full labeling operation as both labels are applied in a single product pass in a very short physical distance.

This engineering approach to dual panel labeling allows for the accurate dual panel labeling of high volume products at significant speed.

We also offer a complete line of semi-automatic top and bottom labelers for situations where the product volume does not require fully automated transport and label application to satisfy production. Our semi-automatic top and bottom labelers consist of a base and platform with labeling heads mounted above and below a product locating fixture. The product will be manually placed into the fixture and both applicators activated with a single switch. Once activated, tamp pads will extend placing the labels on the top and bottom of the product.

Re-Pack Top & Bottom Labeling System With Side Hugger Belts

Hugger belts capture the product from both sides, leaving the top and bottom of the container exposed for label application

Many small products are unstable and difficult to handle on standard conveyor systems. For this reason we offer our Dual Hugger Belt Top / Bottom Labeler. The hugger belts capture the product from both sides, leaving the top and bottom of the container exposed for label application. As the products are driven passed the label applicators, the labels are dispensed and applied to the container.

Our Semi Automatic top and bottom labelers consist of a base and platform with labeling heads mounted from the top and the bottom. The product will be inserted into a fixture and both applicators activated. Once activated, tamp pads will extend placing the labels on the top and bottom of the product.

Top and bottom conveyor systems. Some applications such as the food industry, require the product to be transported on a belted conveyor. The product is placed on the conveyor with a labeling head mounted over top. Once the top label has been applied, the label is fed over a small gap in between the conveyors. The bottom labeling head is placed underneath the conveyors, and applies the label up and onto the bottom of the product.

Dual hugger belt system. Many small products are too unstable to be transported and labeled on a conveyor. In this case, dual hugger belts will be used to secure the product from the sides. As the container is moved between the hugger belts, label applicators are placed over top and underneath applying the top and bottom labels.

Re-Pack Robo Tube Table Top Labeling System

Semi-Automatic Labeling

The Re-Pack Robo Tube Labeling System is employed exclusively for the labeling of empty open bottom tubes. It is specifically designed to protect the empty tube from denting or distortion during the process of label application.

The label is applied in a semi-automatic fashion. The empty tube is placed (horizontally) onto a mandrel accurately sized to the inside diameter of the open ended tube. The mandrels are mounted on a starwheel that rotates to the labeling station.

Once at the labeling station, a sensor will detect the product and activate the label applicator. As the label is dispensed, the mandrel/tube combination will rotate at the same speed as the applicator is dispensing the label. This rotational motion of the mandrel and tube allows for the application of the the label. Once the label is fully applied the starwheel will then index again moving the labeled product from the labeling station to the tube removal position. While at the removal station, the tube will be manually removed from the mandrel so that the process can be repeated. A sensor at the removal station will not allow the system to cycle again until the labeled product has been removed thus it is not possible to have tubes labeled more than once.

This process continues each time a product is detected at the labeling station and the empty mandrel is sensed at the removal station.

Empty tubes are highly susceptible to denting and deforming if not handled carefully with proper interior support across the entire inner surface of the tube. The Robo Warp takes all of the handling problems of tubes into consideration and solves them simply. Call us to discuss your specific need and let us help you find the best solution for your empty tube labeling.
