The Indexing Starwheel Labeling system manufactured by Re-Pack is one that is designed to easily integrate with an existing conveyor line system. An indexing system such as this is normally used when a label needs to be placed on the bottom of a container after the filling and capping stations. Containers such as jars, tubes, vials, plastic or glass bottles are fed via a conveyor belt to a predetermined position where it transfers to the indexing wheel.
This piece of equipment incorporates electronic controls. The starwheel mechanism senses when a product enters it causing the starwheel to index. Once the product has been indexed into the labeling system, a tamp pad extends from the bottom and applies the label to the bottom of the container. With precise timing, it then moves the container along the conveyor, keeping loss of time and product to a minimum and with fewer “jams”. The Indexing Starwheel labeling system can label a wide variety of containers.
This piece of printing equipment is ideal for use in the following industries:
- Automotive
- Beverage
- Building products
- Consumer goods
- Cosmetics
- Electronics
- Food
- Healthcare
- Injection molding
- Medical devices
- Pharmaceutical
- Publishing
